Rispettando
le nostre secolari tradizioni non abbiamo cambiato l’assetto
produttivo aziendale.
Attualmente abbiamo 8 ettari di oliveti e 10 ettari di vigneti.La
metà di questi ultimi sono iscritti per la produzione di
Brunello di Montalcino. Negli altri terreni si coltivano varietà
diverse di piante erbacee e si alleva bestiame.Con
l’integrazione fra queste attività è possibile gestire il
complesso dei beni utilizzando minime quantità di concimi e di
prodotti chimici, per cui le produzioni risultano sane, genuine
e di alta qualità. |
Out of
respect for centuries-old traditions, we have not change the
estate's production activities. There are currently 8 hectares
of olive groves and 10 hectares of wineyards, half of which are
registered for the production of Brunello di Montalcino.
The other lands are used for the cultivation of various tipes of
herbaceous plants and breeding livestock.
Thank to the interactive nature of these activities, minimal
quantities of fertilisers and and chemical treatments are
required and we can therefore guarantee that our products are
healthy, authentic and of austanding quality.

Trotz
unumgänglicher Modernisierungen wurden die Produktionsmethoden
unter Beibehaltung der jahrhundertealten Traditionen kaum verändert.
Augenblicklich verfügt das Gut über 8 Hektar Olivenhaine und
10 Hektar Weinberge. Die Hälfte des Weinanbaugebiets dient der
Produktion von Brunellowein. Auf dem übrigen Land werden
verschiedene Pflanzen angebaut und Tierzucht betrieben. Durch
die Vielfalt der Produktion werden kaum Dünger und chemische
Produkte benötigt. Die Produkte sind deswegen biologisch rein
und von hohem Qualitätsniveau.

L’attuale
proprietà agricola proviene in larga parte dai Conti
Piccolomini, eredi del Papa Pio II di Pienza.
Nel 1807, questi, ristrutturarono la cantina al Poggio di
Torrenieri. Tale data segna l’inizio di una
commercializzazione dei prodotti oleovinicoli verso città e
mercati lontani.
L’azienda conserva molti libri e documenti relativi a quel
periodo. |
A
large part of today's estate originally belonged to the Conti
Piccolomini, heirs of Pope Pius II of Pienza.
In 1807 the family restored the cellar at Poggio di Torrenieri
and this date marked the beginning of their trade in oil and
wine with far-off cities and markets.
We still have many books and documents from this period on the
estate. |
Das
heutige Weingut gehörte größtenteils zum Besitz der Grafen
Piccolomini, den Erben des Papstes Pius II. von Pienza. 1807
restaurierten die Grafen die Weinkeller in Poggio di
Torrenieri und begannen den Handel mit Wein und Olivenöl. Auf
dem Gut sind viele Bücher und Dokumente aus dieser Zeit
erhalten. |
